I change everyday

Sometimes for the better

And sometimes I can learn

To be better and stronger

For those of us who won’t.

A chunk of me is missing

And that chunk is you.

I pray for your recovery

For you to be well soon.

For you to call one day,

And to be laughing loudly.

For you to sit up straight,

And go do your groceries.

And while I know it may not happen soon,

I hope and pray it does.

Cause in my memory of us,

That’s how it always was.

I hope and pray you stay,

I wish I was home.
